How Old Were They Bridal Shower Game
— • HOW TO PLAY • —
Before the bridal shower, choose 10 photographs of the bride and 10 of the groom at different ages. Arrange them as 10 numbered pairs, with one photo of each person under every number. Confirm their ages with the couple or their families, and keep a separate answer key hidden for scoring.
Give each guest a How Old Were They card and a pen or pencil. Invite guests to study the photographs and write their age guesses under the “Bride” and “Groom” headings on the corresponding numbered line. Each guest will make 20 guesses altogether. For baby photographs, explain whether answers should be given in months or years.
Allow approximately 10–15 minutes for everyone to finish, or leave the photo display available for guests to visit throughout the shower.
Once everyone has completed their cards, reveal the correct ages. Award one point for each correctly guessed age, for a possible total of 20 points. The guest with the most points wins! Award a small prize if desired, and invite the bride or couple to share a few memories behind the photographs.
If you are printing on dark kraft cardstock, white colored pencils or white gel pens can help guests’ writing stand out clearly against the paper.
