— • HOW TO PLAY • —
Give each guest a game card and a pencil. If you are printing the game on brown kraft cardstock, we recommend providing white colored pencils or a selection of white drawing tools. The lighter color will create a beautiful contrast and help each sketch stand out against the kraft paper.
After distributing the supplies, invite your guests to sketch the wedding dress they imagine the bride will wear on her big day. Encourage them to include special details such as the neckline, sleeves, veil, hairstyle, and accessories. Guests can try to predict the bride’s actual wedding-day look. If the dress has already been revealed, simply ask them to design the dress they believe best reflects the bride’s personality and style instead.
Allow plenty of time for everyone to complete their drawings. Guests can work on their sketches during a designated portion of the shower or continue adding details throughout the event. This activity also makes a wonderful conversation starter!
When everyone has finished, invite guests to share their creations with the group. The bride-to-be can select the design she considers the most accurate, creative, or entertaining. If desired, award a small prize to the winner.
At the end of the celebration, collect the finished drawings for the bride to keep. The sketches can even be gathered into a small booklet, creating a charming and personal keepsake from the shower.
No artistic experience is required—the imaginative designs and playful predictions are all part of the fun!
